Dr. Renu Singh
(Principal)
My dear teacher trainees,

Education is an unending life long process. Education gives us the perspective of the things around us. It helps us to look at our lives and learn from every experience. A person can’t be a complete man without a good education. Education also builds our self esteem and how we view ourselves.

It is of paramount importance to impart an integrated education to the future citizens of the Nation for successful facing multitasking. This can only be possible in a holistic, student centric environment.

Students are the nation builders. They are the movers of technology and they are the agents of change. The talents, skills and abilities of each student need to be identified, nurtured and encouraged so that he/she is able to reach greater heights. Students need to be provided a platform to think, express and exhibit their skills.

Teaching is one of the noblest services that a teacher provides to society. And, I understand that each school and college renders a new opportunity for personal, social and academic growth of students as well as of the teachers.

The goal of education is to encourage and develop social and emotional growth with critical thinking, problem solving, leadership and citizenship.

My dream is that my teacher trainees should be equipped with all such qualities, professional competencies and abilities that they can play major role in all round development of adolescents as well as bring name and fame for the institute wherever they work and also understand sense of responsibility towards the society as the teachers are the torch bearer for the nation builders.

All the very best for your future endeavours, with best wishes from JGCOE family. Principal, Dr. Renu Singh JG College of Education (Eng Med.)

JG College of Education for Women (P.G.) got established in 2008 with an aim of women education and empowerment to provide quality educators and researchers to the society. Visionary Chairman Mr. John Geevargese has been continuous source of inspiration and motivation for us.

A well trained teacher with positive attitude can change the way students look at life and inculcate values in them. To Identify the Problems of education and to solve them is the fundamental trait of a researcher. For last 10 yrs the institute is engaged in generating pool of such researchers. Teacher educators with positive and creative attitude guide the students to step forward on the research path. As a friend, philosopher and guide staff members develop efficient student teachers. Efforts being put for overall development of students with the help of curricular and co-curricular activities. Visible difference is seen in the students’ attitude towards life after the completion of the course. As mentioned by Martin Luther King, Jr. “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education”
